I’ve been getting harassing phone calls from a company called Cawley & Bergmann for a few weeks now. They call multiple times a day, even late at night, and the person on the other end is rude and threatening, saying they’ll sue me or garnish my wages if I don’t pay immediately.

I looked them up and found out they are a legitimate debt collector, but this constant harassment is too much. It’s causing me so much stress and anxiety. I feel like I can’t even answer my phone anymore.

Has anyone else dealt with them? How did you get the calls to stop? I found this article with some information on the laws around this, but I’m not sure what my next step should be:
